Congregational Packages

In a complex world, we all need to find places where we can reconnect with what nourishes our spirits. We are here to help your congregation do that through a variety of programs and services that dwell within the intersection of spirituality and the arts. Our goal is to provide tools and experiences that encourage people to deepen their connection to themselves, to each other, and to the sacred - however they may define it.

As Unitarian Universalist ministers, we can also provide respite and back-up for clergy who need inspiration, support, or just some time away. From pulpit supply to rites of passage, workshops to worship, you can trust us to hold your congregants in compassionate, respectful, and holy space, while also inviting them toward growth and transformation.

Whenever possible, our fees and honorariums follow the UUMA's guidelines, which you can find HERE. However, we've both been ministers for small congregations and we understand that finances can be tight. Please don't let fear about money stop you from reaching out to us.

***See the chart below for a sample of what we can bring to your congregation!

  • Pastoral Care Mini Package

Invite your pastoral care team into a day of renewal and reflection. In the morning, Diana will lead a 3 hour workshop using writing as a spiritual practice in tending to their own spiritual well-being. After a shared lunch, Shay will lead your team in exploring the gifts of deeper listening, offering tools to help cultivate connection and understanding.

    $750 for an all-day retreat

  • Where Do We Come From? Mini Package

Begin with a worship service jointly led by Diana and Shay called “The Paths That Brought Us Here,” in which we talk about our very different paths to Unitarian Universalist ministry. A 2 hour workshop follows the service and invites people to explore their own and each others’ stories in order to more fully appreciate the diversity of thought, belief, and experience that exists within the congregation.

    $650 for worship + workshop

  • Spirituality and the Arts Sampler Package

A hands-on experience exploring the arts as spiritual practice through a variety of media, including music, writing, and visual art, as well as contemplative practices such as meditation and prayer. This retreat is completely customizable to the desires and needs of your congregation.

    $750 for an all-day retreat

Full Weekend Package for the Whole Congregation

Sometimes smaller congregations don’t have professional staff to offer opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection, sometimes ministers are just too busy to be able to create and lead adult faith formation workshops and classes, and sometimes everyone just wants to try something new. Check out the rest of our website for all that we offer. For congregations who want an immersive experience, we can create a customized weekend package to fit your needs.

Here is a sample weekend:

Friday Evening workshop: 2 Hours

Writing as a Spiritual Practice workshop for writers and non-writers

Through writing activities in various genres, we will learn how writing can serve as a spiritual practice, both in tending our spirits and deepening our connection to the sacred.

Friday Evening Vespers Service for everyone: 1 Hour

Saturday retreat: 8 hours

A Geography of Grace

Using metaphors from the geography of land and sky, this workshop series leads into an exploration of the geography of the soul. Based on the pioneering work of Dr. Parker Palmer and a process called the Circle of Trust, which is designed to create a safe and sacred space, we will use poetry, story, music, and art to discover a valuable map of the terrain of our inner selves.

OR

The Soul of Aging

Using poetry, story, music, and art we will explore our visions of aging, our relationship with time, and living life to the fullest. We will approach “the art” of aging intentionally and creatively, and consider the many soulful invitations our maturing years offer us.

Sunday worship & coffee hour: 2 hours

Worship co-led by Diana and Shay, including a pastoral prayer, reading, story for all ages, shared sermon, coffee hour, etc.

Sunday Afternoon class: 2 hours

The Sacred Art of Deep Listening for your pastoral care team

Through activities such as journaling, mindful nature walks, and role-playing we will practice deepening our ability to hear what is moving under the surface of our lives, and in doing so cultivate intimate connection with ourselves and  others.

OR

The Spirituality of Sound for your choir and music team

Reflecting on harmony and resonance, creation and communion, we will learn to understand how the music we make and share is an essential part of the ministry of the church, and how our musical offerings facilitate a deeper awakening of the soul.

We're also happy to provide any of our programs as stand-alone events, or provide a series of events over a period of time. We can work with you and your congregation to offer the best fit for what you need.
